King’s portrait available for viewing 24 hours a day

The path to the arched portrait of the much-revered HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej just outside the Grand Palace is now open to members of the public round-the-clock.

Mourners can head to the arch by going past either of two screening points: the first one next to the City Pillar Shrine and the other around the Tha Chang pier.
In front of the portrait, mourners can place fresh flowers or garlands.
To go past the screening points, they must produce their national identification cards and wear polite clothes.
The Sanam Luang zone is now off-limits to facilitate preparations for the Royal Cremation Ceremonies, which will take place between October 25 and 29.
