Replicas of Royal Crematorium ready for final public tribute to late King

A replica of the Royal Crematorium elegantly stands in the sunset at the Royal Plaza in Bangkok on Monday evening.

Decorated with marigolds, the replica will be used for members of the public to present sandalwood flowers as a final tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol on October 26, the Royal Cremation Day.
A total of 85 to-scale replicas of the Royal Crematorium have been constructed around the country.
There is one in each of 76 provinces, with the other nine located in greater Bangkok.
For Bangkok and nearby provinces, the replicas are located at the Royal Plaza; Lan Khon Mueang in front of Bangkok City Hall; the former headquarters of the Government Lottery Office; Nagaraphirom Park; the King Rama I Monument area; the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre; King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Lal Krabang; Buddhamonthon in Nakhon Pathom; and the Thupatemi Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium in Pathum Thani.
