Siriraj Hospital holds funeral rite
The Siriraj Hospital on Thursday held a rite for mourners to lay funeral flowers in honour of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Mourners registered at Siriraj Medical School's auditorium at 6am, with some arriving as early as 4am in a queue stretching to Wang Lang pier.
Mourners were allowed to place funeral flowers from 9am to 4.30pm and the rite will resume at 6.30pm.
The hospital prepared 109,200 funeral flowers for the ceremony.
