Replica form long queue at Pathum Thani’s Air Force Sports Stadium
The crematorium replica at the Dhupateme Royal Thai Air Force Sports Stadium in Pathum Thani province attracted long queues of mourners placing funeral flowers in tribute to HM the late King Rama IX on Thursday.
Despite the day’s hot sun, people in black mourning attire reached as far as Zeer Rangsit Shopping Mall.
At 9am, Lt-General Chaiya Uparirat, Security Force Commander at the Royal Thai Airforce, was the first to lay a funeral flower, followed by military officers and members of the public.
The Dhupateme replica was one of many to have reported large crowds paying simultaneous tribute nationwide.
