One killed, two injured in three-vehicle crash

The Nation A man was killed and two persons injured in an accident involving three vehicles on a motorway in Bangkok’s Klong Sam Wa district early Saturday.

Police said the accident happened at 1am on the outbound Kanchanapisek motorway in West Sam Wa subdistrict.
Pol Captain Woranun Boonyaprateep, the deputy inspector of Highway Police sub-division 9, said a Toyota Camry rammed into the rear of an Isuzu D-Max pickup and the car overturned and was crashed into by a taxi.
The Camry driver, Natthapol Kraithong, 26, died at the scene. His passenger, Boonnapop Wisartsakul, and the taxi driver, Wisit Wongwiriyamethi, were severely injured and rushed to Sai Mai Hospital.
The pickup driver, Boonchuay Passadorn, 56, was not injured. He told police he was driving on the left lane and the Camry crashed into his pickup’s rear, sending it onto the roadside, but the car overturned before it was hit by the taxi.
