Bookie inadvertently fills in cops on underground lottery winners
Special Branch Police in Krabi are on a low-tech hunt for a bookie who on Thursday inadvertently sent them a list of winning bets in an underground lottery.
Pol Senior Sgt Maj Worujiwat Wannarat said the list was supposed to have been faxed to his boss so the bookie could claim illegal winnings from Thursday’s government lottery.
The list instead showed up on the police fax machine at 3.02pm.
The police have asked the TOT, which still runs the landline telephone service, to track the owner of the number where the fax originated.
