Police said six troops were returning to their base across the border after they attended a security meeting with their Thai counterparts in Tha Song Yang. 
The accident happened on highway No 105 at the 112 kilometre marker. 
Three died at scene and rescuers rushed the others to the Tha Song Yang hospital, where one of them died.

Four Karenni troops killed, two hurt in Tak accident

Four senior Karenni troops were killed and two others injured when their pickup truck crashed into a roadside tree in Tak’s Tha Song Yang district late on Tuesday night.
