Frost drapes Doi Inthanon three consecutive mornings
Carpets of frost have been keeping tourists happy atop Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai for three consecutive mornings.
On Thursday morning the temperature at the Kiew Mae Parn viewpoint on Thailand’s highest peak dropped to three degrees Celsius.
Doi Inthanon National Park officials said visitors were treated to another picturesque scene later in the morning as a sea of mist formed.
The temperature at the top of the mountain reached a low of 6C and at the park office 8C. By comparison, the lowest temperature in downtown Chiang Mai was 19C.
