On Thursday morning the temperature at the Kiew Mae Parn viewpoint on Thailand&rsquo;s highest peak dropped to three degrees Celsius.

Doi Inthanon National Park officials said visitors were treated to another picturesque scene later in the morning as a sea of mist formed. 
The temperature at the top of the mountain reached a low of 6C and at the park office 8C. By comparison, the lowest temperature in downtown Chiang Mai was 19C.
