Calls to remove snakes and other animals from homes have dramatically surpassed fire alarms, the department added.
Most of the creatures do not pose a risk to people and after being rescued by firefighters they are taken to wildlife shelters and eventually freed in the wild.
According to reports, wildlife encounters in Bangkok are rising as the city is expanding into more wildlife areas.
