Frost takes another bite out of Doi Inthanon

Frost takes another bite out of Doi Inthanon

Morning winter mists drawing tourists to Doi Inthanon in Chiang May produced a picturesque coating of frost early Thursday when the temperature dropped to four degrees Celsius.

Doi Inthanon National Park chief Rung Hiranwong said frost covered the grass at the Kiew Mae Pan viewpoint, the most popular lookout for panoramic vistas and seas of mist.
It was the first frost seen in days following a warmer period.
Rung said the temperature elsewhere in the park was 9C on the top of the mountain and 10C at the park office.
