Mother stabs two children and then herself
A mother in Chachoengsao’s Bang Pakong district who was abandoned by her husband stabbed her daughter and baby boy before stabbing herself on Thursday morning, police said.
The mother, 26, her eight-year-old daughter and eight-month-old son were all in severe condition at the intensive care unit of Bang Pakong Hospital.
Police said the mother stabbed herself 20 times and her daughter once in the chest and once in the left arm. The boy was stabbed four times in his chest and once on the foot.
The grandmother of the two children said she was washing dishes when she heard her grandchildren crying, so she rushed out to check on them and found them in pool of blood.
She called an emergency line to take them to hospital.
The woman said her daughter had become depressed after she was abandoned by her husband and left to take care of the two children on her own.
