Lazada tempts shoppers with deals for its online festival
Lazada plans to close what it calls the biggest shopping event in Southeast Asia with a bang. For the final day of its Grand Holiday Season Sale, there will be new items, flash deals, local and international brands with more than 90 per cent off and a clearance sale with free shipping and no minimum basket.
Items sold and shipped during the first 24 hours of the final sale were from five main categories. Fashion was the leading category on December 12, where people browsed clothing and lifestyle items to prepare themselves for the upcoming holiday season. The other main categories were automotive, whereby the number of motorcycles sold were up to 3,732 in one day, followed by smartphones, pet food, toys and games.
A customer who received the first item in 12.12 ordered iPhone X at 00.28 am. It was shipped at 2.22 am and delivered to customer's hand at 8.17 am.
Lazada shoppers also secured savings of Bt730 on average on each item.
