One lane of Phaholyothin Road to be closed for six weeks

One lane of Phaholyothin Road in Bangkok is to be closed for six weeks from Wednesday due to construction work.

The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) will close a lane in front of the Air Force Museum until January 31 for the construction of the stairway to an elevated Green Line rail station.
The leftmost lane in the outbound direction of Phaholoythin Road will be shut to traffic, but the rightmost lane will remain open so that motorists have two lanes on both directions of the major thoroughfare, the MRTA announced.
The MRTA is constructing the Green Line Morchit-Saphan Mai-Kukot elevated electric railway on the road, which is notorious for its traffic congestion.
