Overweight woman dies alone in rented room during holidays
A woman found dead in her rented Suphan Buri apartment is believed to have been a victim of heart failure stemming from obesity.
Walaiporn Saengsawang had weighed 160 kilograms before recently shedding 20kg under a doctor’s guidance.
Friends went to her room in Muang Suphan Buri on Wednesday after she failed to turn up for work at the Provincial Administrative Organisation following the New Year holidays.
Breaking into the locked room, they found Walaiporn’s body in the bathroom and the lights, TV and air-conditioner still on.
Pol Capt Kalasin Pakwiset, a local deputy inspector, examined the scene with a doctor from Chao Phraya Yommaraj Hospital, who estimated that the woman had died two days earlier, apparently due to heart failure.
Friends said Walaiporn was well loved and they’d urged her to lose more weight for the sake of her health.
