Turkish man rescued from Pattaya condo rooftop

A Turkish man, apparently under the influence of alcohol, was rescued from the rooftop of a 30-storey Pattaya condominium late Friday night.

Police and rescuers from the Sawang Boribun Thammsathan Foundation were called to Lumpini Condominium on Pattaya-Naklua Road past midnight on Saturday when the tourist was spotted walking around restlessly as if he wanted to jump down.
The man was later identified as Seslikaya Huseyin, 37.
Police waited about 20 minutes before they charged upstairs, seized him and later took him to his room.
Later in the morning, the man came to Pattaya Police Station to apologise for his behaviour and thanked police for saving his life. He said he was drunk at the moment he was walking on the rooftop.
