Two alleged drug couriers arrested in Uttaradit

Two men were arrested in Uttaradit while allegedly delivering 110,000 methamphetamine pills in exchange for drugs for their personal use.

Uttaradit police chief Pol Maj-General Thinnarat Phetphansri held a press conference on Monday to announce the arrest of Itthipol Kwankhan, 22, and an unidentified 18-year-old, both of whom are residents of Uttaradit’s Nam Pad district.
Acting on a tip-off, police staked out a soi in Muang district and arrested the two men after they picked up a garbage bag left at a power pole. The meth pills were found inside the bag.
The two admitted that they had been paid with 2,000 meth pills to pick up the drugs, which were to be delivered to a person in Nam Pad.
They also confessed to having delivered drug shipments twice before, police said.
