Frost covers Hmong mountaintop village in Phitsanulok

A blanket of frost covered the Hmong mountaintop village in Phitsanulok's Nakhon Thai district on Tuesday morning.

Local residents said the temperature at the Ban Mai Rong Kla village in Tambon Nernperm dropped to 3 degrees Celsius while the ground-level temperature was lower than one 1C, causing frost to cover grass and leaves.
Tourists who visited the village on Tuesday morning were delighted to see the frost on the fields in the middle of the village, which is about 1,400-metres above sea level.
Frost last covered Ban Mai Rong Kla on December 19 to 21, last year.
