Female skull, bones found in Chon Buri

A skull and bones, believed to be of a woman, were found scattered by the roadside in Chon Buri's Sattahib early on Tuesday morning.

Tambon Na Jomthian police station was alerted to the discovery at 12.30am.
Police and officials from the Sawang Rojanadhamsathan Sattahib Foundation went to the location on Jomthian 2 road, where a skull with long hair, left and right leg bones, and hip bones were found among thick trees about 20 metres from the road.
Chon Buri provincial police chief Pol Maj Gen Nanthachart Supamongkol, said the person appeared to have died more than 10 days ago.
Nanthachart said a local resident, Buarian Somphet, 40, found the bones and alerted police and the victim was believed to be a woman.
He said the bones had apparently been scattered by stray dogs in the area.
The remains would be sent to the Police Hospital for further analysis, he said.
