Johnson & Johnson receives Thai FDA Quality Award for second consecutive year

Johnson & Johnson (Thailand) has received the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Quality Award 2018 from Dr Piyasakol Sakolsattayathorn, the Minister of Public Health (MOPH).

This is the second year running that the company has won the award.
J & J was the only multi-national company selected by the FDA committee in the cosmetic sector this year.
Piyasakol said the public health ministry fully supports the government's Thailand 4.0 policy. To achieve a stable, prosperous, and sustainable economy, the country would have to “build strength within, and then connect the Thai economy with global [markets]”. He said MOPH focuses on product quality and safety and the Thai FDA Quality Award was presented to the company which could be a “role model” for other businesses.
Dr. Wanchai Satayawuthipong, secretary general of Thai FDA said that the Thai FDA Quality Award is a reward for “value and pride”.
Thai FDA selects the company which has conducted its business with ethic and social responsibility, he said.
This year, Thai FDA supports government policy of Thailand 4.0 by implementing Thai FDA 4.0. The goal is to achieve “consumer safety ... and [ensure that] growth and healthcare protection is sustainable”.
