Miserable weekend for Buri Ram drug dealers

A drug crackdown in Muang Buri Ram from January 18-21 netted five suspects, 8,190 yaba pills, 8.93 grams of crystal meth (“ice”), six pistols and 97 rounds of ammunition.

Also seized were two cars used in committing crimes and 15 motorbikes reportedly pawned for drug purchases, provincial police chief Pol Maj-General Chaiyuth Jiansirikul announced on Thursday.
Police first arrested Man Romran, 36, allegedly in possession of 65 yaba pills and two guns this week, then raided a house in Tambon Isan belonging to alleged drug dealer Kritsada Kichairam, 30.
There they arrested Anuparp Ratprakhon, 24, Wiroj Pidram, 39, Pitchaya Tumorn, 27, and seized 225 yaba pills, 8.49 grams of ice, three guns and 34 bullets.
Police said Kritsada and another suspect, Watchara Mahan, 31, had narrowly escaped the house.
In Kritsada's bedroom they found 3,947 more yaba pills, two guns and 35 bullets, while Watchara's car allegedly held 3,953 yaba pills.
Yet another suspect believed to be a member of the same gang, Ronnapop Noenwiset, 24, was arrested at his home in Tambon Ban Yang along with 0.44 grams of ice, a gun and 28 bullets.
