It was reported that the electrical system linking the subway station and the elevated train station had broken down at 8.12am, resulting in an accumulation of passengers from the Purple Line that wanted to connect to the subway at Tao Poon.
Officials at Tao Poon advised passengers to use other means of transportation instead and many were seen leaving the station to take buses or motorcycle taxis.
