Samut Sakhon police help squatter family

A senior police officer and a school director visited the squatter family of a sixth grader in Samut Sakhon’s Muang district on Wednesday to offer them some help.

Pol Colonel Thongchai Netsakhawat, commander of the investigation division of the Samut Sakhon Police head office, visited the family of Areerat Chaiyalert, a student of Ban Chaithalauy Khok Kham in Tambon Khok Kham.
Thongchai was accompanied by the school’s director, Natthapong Lertchiwa.
Natthapong recently discovered that his student is living in a shanty house on the Klong Pramong-Khok Kham canal. The house does not have even have an inside toilet.
The school director said the girl is in difficulty because her only parent has a chronic aliment and cannot work.
Thongchai gave the family some necessities and dried food, and said his police division would send workers to build a toilet for the family within a week. They would also repair the house, which is on the brink of collapsing.
