Phuket airport increases domestic passenger seating
Two hundred more seats and new ventilators have been installed for the comfort of travellers at Phuket Airport.
The waiting lobby for the domestic departures has been expanded from 2,000 square metres to 5,000 square metres from Wednesday.
The expansion of the lobby also means a change to the walking route from check-in to the security area. The screening point has moved to the north side of the building, which is wider and allows for passengers to get through the lobby more quickly.
Renovations to the terminal will be fully completed by June this year, according to a Phuket International Airport spokesperson.
