Fire damages furniture factory in Lamphun

Nobody was injured in the fire that started at the Ban Sankhayom furniture factory in Tambon Makhua Jae, Muang district, at midnight.
Five fire engines took more than an hour to control the blaze.
The factory owner, Sukij Somboon, 48, said he switched off power every day before leaving the factory hence he was puzzled how the fire had broken out.
He said his workers who stayed in quarters in the factory compound called the police.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
