Two Chinese tourists drown, one missing at Phang Nga 

Two Chinese tourists drowned and another went missing while they were swimming at a beach in Phang Nga’s Thai Muang district on Friday evening.

Two other Chinese tourists were injured in the incident in high surf in front of the Dusit Hotspring Beach and Spa Hotel at 6pm.
Police were alerted of the incident at 8pm. The two drowned tourist were identified as Wang Qi, 29, and Jiang Yufu, 25. Police said Yang Juan, 27, was missing, and that Jiang Yuping, 28, and Jiang Yumong, 28, were injured and rushed to Vajira Phuket Hospital.
Their guide, Anuwat Kangsadalbanphot, 26, told police that the five were among 29 Chinese tourists he took from Krabi International Airport to check-in at the hotel on Friday.
He said he had warned the tourists against swimming because it was dusk and the waves were strong, but the five refused to heed the warning.
The group was hit by a big wave and people nearby managed to pull two of them from the water in time.
The search operation for the missing tourist continued Saturday.
