Thunderstorms warning for many parts of country from Wednesday
The Meteorological Department has warned residents of many parts of the country to brace themselves for thunderstorms from Wednesday to Friday.
In the warning issued on Sunday, the department said the storms would be caused by Thailand’s current hot weather clashing with a high-pressure system from China, which will bring colder conditions.
The clash of cold and hot weather will result in thunderstorms, hailstorms and high winds.
The storms will first appear in the Northeast on Wednesday and will spread to the rest of the country the following day, the department added.
