Winners of the 13th Junior Dublin Literary Awards for Thailand, a national English writing competition among high school students, will be announced this Friday.

Almost 1,000 entries from 500 schools nationwide were received under the theme of “Moving Forward”. The overall national winner will win a trip to Dublin, Ireland.

The event is co-organised by NJ Digital, The Nation and Chiang Mai Citylife magazine.

Thailand’s largest and longest-running national English essay contest has been supported for the past 13 years by the Embassy of Ireland, PCS/OCS Co Ltd, and the Irish-Thai Chamber of Commerce. The aims of the competition are to encourage English writing and creativity among Thai youth. This year, each contestant was also asked to produce a one-minute video on his/her essay.
