Rabies found in two Surat Thani districts
Rabies have been detected in two districts of Surat Thani, prompting livestock officials to begin vaccinating dogs and cats.
Chief livestock officer Decha Jitpirom said on Friday rabies had been reported on one area of Phra Saeng district and two areas of Ban Na San district.
He said his office was working with other authorities to vaccinate both stray and pet dogs and cats in all three areas.
The vaccination programme would cover both districts in their entirety by the end of April, Decha said.
