Man, 65, jumps to his death from Bangkok condo

A man, 65, jumped to his death from a condominium where he lived alone in Bangkok’s Nong Khaem district early on Friday.

Pol Captain Narong Thiankanthet, deputy inspector of the Nong Khaem Police Station, said the incident happened at 1am at the Nong Khaem Condotel on Phetkasem Soi 81/1.
The man was identified as Pinij Sukha, who lived on the sixth floor.
Police did not find any signs of foul play inside the room. A suicide note was found in room, asking anyone to contact his younger sister and hand over the room key to her.
The man’s neighbour, Wanchai Anmun, 30, who lives in the opposite room, told police Pinij had been in the room for years and he had never seen any relatives visiting the man.
Wanchai said Pinij was a friendly person but he later complained of his health.
“If anything happens to me, please help my sister get the room key,” Wanchai said Pinij had told him recently.
Wanchai said the man normally left his room door open and turned the lights on but when Wanchai returned from work on Thursday evening, he found the door was closed and the lights were off.
