Cat rescued from deep well in Chai Nat

Cat rescued from deep well in Chai Nat

A black cat was rescued on Friday from a deep dry-well in Chai Nat’s Mueang district, where it is believed to have been trapped for at least seven days.

La-ai Kerdphol, a resident of Moo 5 village in Tambon Sua Hoke, called Muang Chai Nat police station at 1.30pm to send urgent help when she found the cat at the bottom of the 6-metre deep well.
Initially, rescuers tried in vain to get the cat to climb into a basket they had hoisted down. Twenty minutes later, one of the rescuers decided to use a noose to catch the animal. Fortunately, when the noose was dropped to the bottom of the well, the cat walked over it, allowing the rescuer to tighten the rope and hoist it up.
The black cat scampered away immediately after it was released from the noose.
La-ai later said she had heard a cat crying in distress for seven days, but could not locate the source of the wailing until Friday afternoon.
