Motorcyclist honoured for capturing Pattaya purse-snatcher

The Chon Buri police chief on Friday honoured a taxi motorcyclist for having captured a pure snatcher who had allegedly grabbed a Chinese tourist’s bag on a Pattaya road.

Chon Buri police chief Pol Maj-General Nanthachart Supamongkol held a press conference to thank Prin Arj-yotha, 36, for helping capture the suspect, Therdthong Klongpimai, 30, on Thursday.
Ye Junsong, 23, and his girlfriend were filling their rented motorcycle at a petrol station on Atthajinda Road in Moo 12 in Tambon Nong Plue of Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district when Therdnthong allegedly snatched their bag and sped off on his motorcycle.
Prin heard their call for help and followed the snatcher, capturing him and turning him over to police.
The bag carried only a power bar and a charging cable.
Nanthachart said that although the value of the stolen items was low and the case was trivial, snatching the purses of foreign tourists damages the country’s reputation.
So, he said, he would like to thank the taxi motorcyclist for helping capture the suspect.
