Woman arrested with 200,000 meth pills in Nakhon Phanom
A Nakhon Phanom woman was arrested late Sunday night while trying to smuggle 200,000 methamphetamine pills from the bank of the Mekong River into Muang district.
Tipped-off police staked out at the riverbank in Ban Kham Thao, Tambon Kham Thao, where the drugs were dropped off.
Orasa Wongtasaeng, 42, was arrested when she arrived on a motorcycle to collect the drugs.
She said she’d been paid Bt20,000 by a relative in Laos to collect and keep the meth and hand it over to a buyer later.
