Faithful dog leads neighbour to owner’s body

Faithful dog leads neighbour to owner’s body

A dog in Samut Songkram on Thursday morning led a neighbour to the body of a fish farmer who had rescued it as a stray puppy.

Prim Khiangprakong, 53, had been electrocuted on her bass farm in Muang Samut Songkram.
Her body was found clad in wet clothes inside a hut where she spent the nights watching over her pond.
Burn marks on her foot indicated she’d been electrocuted. Police speculated she’d retrieved an oxygen pump from the pond to repair in the hut and her wet clothing had served as a conductor for an electrical surge.
The four-year-old stray she’d raised went to neighbour Look-in Srikham, 46, the evening before, appearing panicked, but she ignored it.
When the dog returned in the morning, though, she followed it and found the body. Look-in called
police at 8 am.
When police and rescue workers arrived at the scene, the dog was lying nearby.
