Man shoots himself dead on Facebook Live
A man shot himself dead on the third attempt with a homemade .38 revolver on Facebook Live in Samut Prakan province early on Thursday.
The Bang Plee Police Station was alerted to the suicide at the carpark of Nilabol Condo in Moo 9 village in Tambon Bang Plee Yai, Bang Plee district, at 3am.
Naphattarakul Phachayakan, 37, was killed by a bullet on his forehead.
His body was found in front of his pickup truck. A homemade .38 revolver was found beside his body along with two unfired bullets. A spent shell was found inside the revolving chamber.
His smartphone was still on Facebook Live mode when police arrived at the scene.
Police reviewed the clip and saw the man had fired at himself twice with the revolver but the bullets were dud. He removed the two bullets and loaded the third one and shot himself again and this time it fired.
Police questioned his girlfriend and learned that the two quarrelled often. The woman wanted to separate from him as she said he always spent his salary on drinking with friends.
