Manhunt for boyfriend who allegedly strangled Chon Buri woman
Police are hunting for a man who allegedly strangled his girlfriend at their rented room in Chon Buri’s Si Racha district late on Tuesday night.
Police suspect that Phichit Pumphuang, 33, strangled Phussadee Kwanmuang, 23, out of jealousy.
Phichit and Phussadee lived at a boarding house on Soi Suksomphon in Tambon Nong Kham for about two months and they worked in a factory on a nearby industrial estate.
Police said a friend of Pichit’s went to wake him up to get prepared for night-shift work, but no one answered. He then looked through the window and saw the girlfriend lying still.
Other friends tried to call Phussadee but she did not respond, so they alerted police.
