Dog alerts owner's death in Pathum Thani

A pet dog barked and howled restlessly inside a house until workers woke up to check and found the body of its owner at a Pathum Thani house early on Friday.

The dog's owner was identified as Praphat Lamyai, 48.
His family's workers, who live in different quarters in the same compound in Tambon Rahaeng of Lat Lumkaew district, woke up and found the body after the man's dog barked and howled relentlessly.
Jaranya Lamyai, an elder sister who lives in another house in the same compound, told police that workers woke up to the barking sound.
They said the dog ran restlessly inside Praphat's house and when they came into the house the dog ran to the bedroom where the body was found.
The worker then informed Jaranya and another brother and they rushed to perform CPR but failed to resuscitate their brother.
Jaranaya then called Praphat's wife, who works in another province, and the police.
According to his wife, Praphat has been taking weight loss pills for two months and had lost some 20 kilograms. He earlier weighed 102kg.
