Migrants not allowed to work as caddies, says Anurak

He was responding to reports that golf courses have laid off Thai caddies and replaced them with migrants.
Thossarat said such a practice is illegal.
He said he has asked officials to check golf courses nationwide and to warn the management against hiring migrants as caddies.
Anurak said the Employment Department has never approved permits for migrants to work as caddies. Golf courses that hire migrants would face charges of hiring migrants without a permit.
