Phuket cops probing restaurant TV heist
Police in Phuket’s Thalang district are looking for a thief who boldly snatched a television set from a restaurant on Tuesday night and sped off on foot.
A CCTV camera recording showed a black-garbed man about 30-37 years old grab the 42-inch Samsung unit worth Bt25,000 at the restaurant Jae Jeab on Thepkrasattri Road, 300 metres from the Heroines Monument.
Restaurant owner Usa “Jae Jeab” Silapa, 49, told police she was in the kitchen with her daughter and there were no customers.
She heard a noise and ran out to find the television missing.
