Paintings exhibition to shine a light on Trang’s attractions
Forty-nine sketch artists will provide their unique perspectives on attractions in Trang province at an exhibition from June 15-30.
The exhibitions will display 80 selected paintings at two separate venues in Muang district, the 3/2 Art Gallery and Nakhon Trang Municipality’s multi-purpose building.
The project, dubbed “Trang Sketchwalk”, is being organised by the Tourist Authority of Thailand's Trang Office in collaboration with the “Bangkok Sketchers” group as well as regional artists from Trang and Phuket.
Each of the participating artists will produce 6-8 paintings of Trang attractions such as waterfalls, seaside view, old town ambience, or the clock tower for the exhibition committee to select for display.
The aim is to boost the public’s interest in these local sites and make them more conscious about conserving them along with the environment. The event is also meant to serve as an inspiration to Trang youth to be interested in art and be proud of their southern hometown.
