Brand Andaman promotion ready
A meeting held at the Phuket City Hall, hosted by Phuket’s Governor Norraphat Plodthong, announced that the southern provinces are planning to boost tourism with "Andaman" branding.
“A research paper has been submitted on the creation of a tourism brand to develop Andaman tourism, related to Phuket's tourist infrastructure. The brand will focus on tourist locations and Phuket's food." Norraphat said
The brand aims to increase confidence and awareness in tourists when they are travelling in Phuket and the wider region. We are sharing ideas to confirm our tourist strong points and answer the needs of visitors and residents.
"Five Andaman provinces are involved – Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun.”
Budget expenditure is also being discussed to increase tourism-based revenue up to 2020.
