A rare tide phenomenon at Koh Talu in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Bang Saphan Noi district, said to be the lowest level in 20 years, has given sightseers a visual treat this week, exposing a two-kilometre stretch of seabed featuring hidden beauty of coral reef and giant clams.

The phenomenon had been observed at Koh Talu’s Ao Muk, Ao Yai and Ao Thian since June 15 and the tide kept lowering until it was down by one metre at Koh Talu Beach visibly revealing seabed and beautiful corals along with giant clams, sea urchins, and sea cucumbers, said Siam Marine Rehabilitation Foundation secretary-general Phaopipat Charoenpak on Monday.
