Officials have prepared an autopsy so as to determine why the pachyderm, which was about 15 years old, died.&nbsp;

At the scene officials found an electrified fence but the plantation owner&rsquo;s father-in-law Yiam Panpetch said the voltage used was just 12.&nbsp;

&ldquo;I found this dead elephant at 10pm on Tuesday. So, I alerted officials,&rdquo; the 70-year-old man said.&nbsp; 
He said the fence was electrified as he wanted to prevent wild animals from entering his house.

Elephant found died in Chachoengsao

An elephant was found dead in a cassava plantation just outside a forest in Chachoengsao on Tuesday night.
