Saudi Arabian dies after trip to Koh Naka
A Saudi Arabian national has died following a trip to Koh Naka on Monday.
Thalang police were notified by staff at Thalang Hospital last night, they said on Tuesday.
The body of a man, identified as 56-year-old Alanazi Ali Awad M, was at the hospital when police arrived.
Thirty-eight-year-old Sarawut Denser, a tour guide, told police that at about 4pm on Monday, he was taking a group of tourists by boat to Koh Naka, five minutes from Ao Po.
The tourists played on the beach for one hour, after which they returned to the boat.
Alanazi then told tour guides on the boat that he had chest pains. He was quickly rushed to another boat, then to Thalang Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Tall Ali, the deceased’s son, told police that his father had a history of health issues, and that he had sustained chest pains since the morning.
He had already been to a hospital and given medication before going on the trip to Koh Naka.
