King grants chargeable LED bulbs for cave rescue mission

King grants chargeable LED bulbs for cave rescue mission

HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn has granted chargeable LED light bulbs to the rescue teams who are now operating inside the Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai province.

These bulbs come with cables that can be hung inside the cave.
The darkness inside the cave makes lighting necessary.
Rescue operations are in full swing after 12 young football players and their coach entered the cave on June 23 and are believed to have been stranded because of flash floods.
The Royal Thai Navy’s SEALs were called in to help with the rescue operations because parts of the cave were flooded.
Officials have now brought the LED light bulbs granted by the King into the cave.
The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand has also provided 857 smart LED light bulbs for the operation.
Each fully-charged bulb can work for up to eight hours. Charging takes about three hours.
