Head coach 'overjoyed' team members finally found in cave

Mu Pa Academy Mae Sai football club's head coach Nopparat Khanthavong on Tuesday said he was overjoyed to learn that the 13 team members trapped in the flooded Tham Luang Cave in Chiang Rai's Mae Sai district for 10 days had been found safe.

The 37-year-old Nopparat also thanked all agencies involved in the rescue operation and members of the public for standing by them.
He said he was grateful that His Majesty the King Rama X and royal family members said they were worried about the trapped team.
Nopparat said that the experience would make the youths strong and showed their fighting spirit.
He said he would continue to support the children to follow their dreams to play football, as he saw potential in all of them.
The 12 local teens and their assistant coach have been trapped at the cave since June 23. Although they have been located, it is not yet known how they will be rescued from deep inside the cave.
