Dozens of missing Chinese tourists 'assumed trapped' in sunken boat: Phuket governor
Dozens of missing Chinese tourists are believed to be trapped in a boat which now lies 40 metres (130 feet) below the sea surface, Phuket's governor said Friday, as divers tried to reach the vessel.
Fifty-six people are missing from Phoenix after it hit trouble in high seas late Thursday, governor Noraphat Plodthing told reporters, adding: "I assume they are trapped inside the boat... but I wish some of them have survived."
