Two Bueng Kan districts declared flood disaster zones
The Bueng Kan provincial administration Thursday declared two districts on the bank of the Mekong River flood disaster zones to speed up help to affected residents.
Bueng Kan governor said Muang district and Bung Kla district had been declared disaster zones so that the provincial administration could bypass normal procedures to speed up help to affected residents.
He added that several parts of the two districts have been hit by rising water in the Mekong but so far the downtown area of Muang district was still unaffected.
