Police and Pattaya on Wednesday night arrested two men who allegedly snatched a Chinese tourist’s handbag containing 7,400 yuan and Bt820 in cash and five credit cards.

Police chief Pol Col Apichai Krobphet told reporters that officers on patrol heard the tourist’s cry of alarm and quickly apprehended Kabthong Saeyang, 21.

He implicated Denrak Saelor, 31, who was arrested while waiting for Kabthong and another suspect in front of a North Pattaya restaurant.

The third suspect, Supakorn Sae-in, 23, remains at large.

Apichai said Kabthong and Denrak admitted to working as a trio to prey on Chinese tourists, always in front of a bar frequented by Chinese.
