Herbal ‘doctor’ ramps up production line

Herbal ‘doctor’ ramps up production line

Saengchai “Mor Saeng” Haelerttrakul, who gained fame and drew scepticism with an herbal “cure” for cancer, is ready to begin distributing his food supplements as M-herbs – both for free and for sale.

Saengchai, who has no training as a physician but rather works for the provincial electricity authority, told reporters at his house in Prachin Buri on Monday that a Bangkok-based firm that makes herbal products would on October 6 begin distributing the supplements in all-white capsules rather than the white-blue capsules previously used.

Nature Herbs International Holding chief executive Nanthawan Jitparpan said M-herbs would be available at an affordable price to ensure everyone can buy them.
She said the company backs Saengchai’s goal of making free herbal products on a monthly basis and would help him gain international recognition for a “body of knowledge” based on Thai wisdom about herb-based healthcare.
M-herbs will be available only at NatureHerbInter.com and via the firm’s phone application.
Some will be sold in white boxes of 12-cap blister packs, while others will be given away in a box with red mark containing 10 capsules.
Saengchai is widely referred to as “mor” (doctor) because of the herbal concoctions he hands out to thousands of people who queue at his home each month.
Recipients have reported feeling “better” after taking them.
