Doi Inthanon climbers love the chill

The temperature in Chiang Mai’s Doi Inthanon National Park dropped to six degrees Celsius on Sunday morning, and the tourists climbing Thailand’s highest peak found it thrilling.

“People love coming here for the cool temperature,” park chief Rung Hiranwong said. “A sea of mist is visible around the mountain and from the Kiew Mae Park vantage point.”
Rung said 1,067 Thais and 29 foreign visitors were in the park on Saturday.
All visitors are being encouraged to bring back out any trash they create during their stay.
